About the Artist

Felix de Saracho

About me.

I've been drawn to art for as long as I can remember. In my 8th grade yearbook, I was named one of three "class Leonardos"- something I’ve always taken pride in. Today, I write music, create digital art, and explore different artistic mediums. But I’m not just a creator; I’m also a lifelong admirer of art in all its forms.

The first time I encountered Huichol art - with its vibrant, intricate beadwork wrapped around animal sculptures - I was completely mesmerized. I've always felt a deep connection to it, and I’ve often been surprised by how rarely it's seen outside of Mexico. That’s what inspired Neofelis, a passion project aimed at sharing the richness of Huichol art with the world. I’m constantly dreaming up new ways to integrate this tradition into contemporary home living, through pieces that are not only beautiful but also meaningful. It took time and persistence to find the right Huichol artisans to bring my vision to life, but I’m grateful to say I finally have.

Lucid Lightworks is another creative venture of mine, my personal space for digital exploration. I see it as improvised, psychedelic art made with minimal planning and guided by instinct. Each piece has to “click” with me visually before it’s finished. Psychedelic art is often seen as chaotic or wild, but within that randomness, I often find unexpected beauty. To bring these works to life, I print them on translucent acrylic and frame them as light boxes. When lit from behind, the colors come alive in a way that transforms any room with a distinct and immersive glow.
